
Two NYC Synagogues Vandalized with Feces and Motor Oil, Prompting Hate Crime Probe
NEW YORK (VINnews)-Two New York City synagogues were targeted overnight Thursday into Friday with motor oil and feces in what a state lawmaker described as another example of sustained hate against the Jewish community.
New York State Assemblymember Nily Rozic, an American-Israeli who represents parts of eastern Queens, condemned the incidents.
“This is another outrageous example of the sustained hate faced by our community,” Rozic said.

The New York Police Department confirmed that a suspect threw a bag of motor oil onto the exterior of an Orthodox synagogue in Queens. Police were alerted to the incident Friday afternoon, and the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.
An NYPD spokesperson said no additional information was immediately available. Details from individual precincts can sometimes take time to reach headquarters.
The second synagogue targeted was not immediately identified in available reports.
