Dear Editor,
A gutten erev shabbos
I wanted to share a new, completely free community initiative in case it’s a fit for your readers.
Tosfos Shabbos (shabboshemeilizok.com) is a communal zechus board built around one simple idea: taking on a few extra minutes of Shabbos — a bit before it comes in, a bit after it goes out — as a zechus for a refuah or l’ilui nishmas. You pledge your minutes in about thirty seconds, and every pledge joins a shared, growing total — so the whole kehillah’s added Shabbos becomes one collective zechus standing for all the names on the board.
The site also generates a Mi Shebeirach and Tehillim for each name, and a printable “names to daven for” card for the Shabbos table. It was started l’ilui nishmas Yissachar Dov and Yossi Loriner.
There’s nothing to buy and nothing to install — the whole point is to make being marbeh in kevod Shabbos something anyone can join instantly. If you think your readers would find it meaningful, a mention would help it reach people who’d want to take part.
Tizku l’mitzvos.
