JERUSALEM (VIN News) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told ministers during a cabinet meeting that he will reject U.S. demands for a broad Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza, Syria and Lebanon, Kan News reported Sunday.
Netanyahu said the United States had presented Israel with the proposal and made clear he has no intention of accepting it. “I plan to tell them no,” he told the ministers, according to the report.
The remarks come amid ongoing U.S. pressure on Israel regarding its military posture in the three areas, where Israeli forces maintain security zones and positions following extended operations.
