The Manchester Township Police Department has welcomed two new patrol officers, Michael Batullo Jr. and Casey Jacoby, who were sworn into office during the Township Council’s regular meeting Monday night.

Officials said Ptl. Batullo brings nearly eight years of law enforcement experience, having served with the Beachwood Police Department since 2018. During his career, he held specialized assignments including Traffic Safety Officer, Drug Recognition Expert, Field Training Officer, and served with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Support Team and Narcotics Strike Force. He also serves as Captain of the Beachwood First Aid Squad and has received multiple honors, including two Lifesaving Awards and three consecutive Mothers Against Drunk Driving awards.

Ptl. Jacoby began his public safety career as an ocean lifeguard before entering law enforcement as a Class II officer with the Seaside Park Police Department in 2024. He later joined the Old Bridge Township Police Department as a full-time patrol officer and holds certifications in radar, emergency medical response, CPR/AED, advanced first aid, and ocean lifeguarding.

“I’m proud to welcome two accomplished law enforcement professionals to the Manchester Township Police Department, where they can put their knowledge and experience to work for our residents on day one,” Chief Antonio Ellis said. Both officers will now complete the department’s Field Training and Evaluation Program before beginning solo patrol duties.
