WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews)-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, attended a memorial dinner Monday night honoring the late U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Members of the Graham family, close friends of the late senator, senior administration officials and members of Congress were among those present.
Netanyahu spoke warmly with Graham’s sister, Darline Graham Nordone, members of her family and other guests. Attendees paid tribute to Graham’s legacy and reaffirmed their shared commitment to combating antisemitism and strengthening the alliance between the United States and Israel.
“America has lost a great patriot. Israel has lost one of its greatest friends and supporters. And I have lost a dear friend,” Netanyahu said.
“Lindsey was wholeheartedly committed to the security of the United States, the security of Israel and the unrelenting fight against antisemitism. I will miss him greatly, and all of us will miss him greatly.”
