JERUSALEM (VINnews)-The Israeli military said it demolished an underground Hezbollah command center built beneath a construction materials factory in southern Lebanon this week.

Troops operating in the village of Haddatha, inside the Israel Defense Forces’ buffer zone in south Lebanon, uncovered a 55-meter-long tunnel containing three rooms that Hezbollah used as a command center, the IDF said. The site was located approximately 300 meters from a UNIFIL building.

Nearby, soldiers also found a pit containing dozens of weapons, according to the military.

Combat engineers destroyed the tunnel, the IDF said.
