Question:

Dear Mayor Ray Coles,

Thank you so much for all that you do for Lakewood. Your efforts to improve our community are greatly appreciated.

I would like to bring one traffic issue to your attention. When driving on E. Veterans Highway toward Westgate (Hillside Boulevard), the shoulder was recently painted with diagonal stripes. As a result, drivers can no longer use that area to make a right turn onto Hillside Boulevard, which can cause traffic to back up.

Would you please consider having that section repainted as a designated right-turn lane? I believe it would help improve traffic flow and make the intersection more efficient.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and again, thank you for your continued service to the residents of Lakewood.
