MUSIC TO COST MORE: 24Six Announces First Subscription Price Increase Since Launch, Citing Rising Costs and Artist Royalties

Aug 2, 2026·3 min read

24Six, the popular kosher Jewish music streaming platform, will raise its subscription prices for the first time since its launch nearly four years ago, citing sharply higher operating expenses, growing infrastructure costs, and its continued commitment to paying royalties to frum artists, Matzav.com has learned.

The company said the new pricing will take effect beginning Sept. 1, 2026, marking the first increase since 24Six debuted on Motzoei Shabbos, Nov. 19, 2022.

The company reflected on its growth over the past three-and-a-half years, saying what began as a simple effort to provide Klal Yisroel with a safe, beautiful, and kosher music streaming experience has expanded far beyond its original vision.

According to 24Six, the platform is now used daily by tens of thousands of families across smartphones, vehicles, and its lineup of proprietary listening devices designed specifically for kosher use. The company also revealed that users have collectively streamed nearly three billion songs since the service launched.

Throughout that period, 24Six said it has continued investing in the platform by introducing new features, expanding filtering and parental control options, improving its hardware devices, and working closely with Rabbonim and community leaders to ensure the service remains appropriate for every member of Klal Yisroel.

The company emphasized that it deliberately chose not to raise subscription prices during its first three-and-a-half years despite increasing expenses, describing that decision as part of its responsibility to subscribers.

However, 24Six said the financial realities of operating a streaming platform have changed significantly. The company pointed to dramatic increases in storage, memory, and server costs, driven both by industry-wide price hikes and the continued expansion of its music library and growing number of listeners.

The company also highlighted its commitment to supporting Jewish musicians, noting that it has already paid millions of dollars in royalties to frum artists whose music is available on the platform.

“As we continue building, curating, and supporting the artists and families who make 24Six what it is,” the company wrote, “we are updating our subscription prices for the first time.”

Beginning Sept. 1, the new subscription rates will be:

  • Single: $11.99 per month or $119.99 annually
  • Duo: $17.99 per month or $179.99 annually
  • Family: $23.99 per month or $239.99 annually

The company said the updated pricing will take effect at the beginning of each subscriber’s next billing cycle on or after Sept. 1. Customers on annual plans will continue paying their current rate until their next yearly renewal.
