Following months of providing grocery benefits several times a week to numerous Boro Park families through the Tri-State SCN program, signs are emerging of a possible slowdown - or even a temporary pause.

Just two weeks ago, many upstate stores were forced to stop accepting certain SCN providers with little advance notice. While service has since resumed by some providers and locations, many providers remain unavailable.

Now, similar signs are appearing in Brooklyn, where several local stores have begun posting notices that some SCN providers are no longer being accepted, adding to the growing uncertainty.

Rumors continue to circulate from all sides, but the full picture remains unclear as the situation is still unfolding. Residents are encouraged to check their benefit balances and verify the status of their provider before heading to the store with a full shopping cart, as many families continue to rely on the program to help manage the rising cost of living.
