IDF Duvdevan special forces, guided by the Shin Bet, arrested a terror suspect in the Old City area of Shchem (Nablus) overnight Monday going into Tuesday.

According to an IDF statement, soldiers from the elite Duvdevan Commando Unit raided the area following intelligence provided by the Shin Bet on the suspect’s whereabouts.

The suspect is affiliated with Palestinian Islamic Jihad and was acting to advance terror activities, the army said. He was also previously linked to the “Lions’ Den” terror network, a Nablus-based cell that Israeli security forces have successfully worked to dismantle in recent years.
