Two Israeli soldiers were killed (and others wounded) in an explosion involving an improvised explosive device in a booby-trapped building in the area of Majdal Selem in southern Lebanon. The IDF has responded with strikes.

The Gush Etzion Regional Council announced his death of Harel Birenstock hy”d, 34, with deep sorrow, noting he was the son of Shlomo and Yonat Birenstock of Neve Daniel and the grandson of Nechama Birenstock of Efrat is survived by his wife, brother, and sisters.
Condolences were extended to his parents, wife, siblings, and family.
The soldiers were operating when they were struck by an explosive device planted inside the booby trapped building.
