Question:

Hi mr mayor.

I passed a garbage truck today, and my car got sprayed by the water running off it. Can the Lakewood garbage trucks get a tank to hold the water?
Response from Mayor Coles:

I’m sorry to hear that. If you can let me know approximately where and when it happened I will track down the truck. The seals in it must be going because it should hold water.

It’s not supposed to have water in it. That is where we can all help. The water is coming from the garbage cans it picks up because the lids were probably not fully shut during the recent rain storm. Try not to overfill cans so the lids can properly seat. If your lid is broken please call public works to get the can repaired or replaced.
