Mrs. Esther Dina Flintenstein, a Holocaust survivor and the aunt of the Kapytchnitzer Rebbe, passed away on Thursday at the age of 102 after a lifetime marked by extraordinary resilience, emunah, and chessed.

Mrs. Flintenstein, who lived in Bnei Brak, collapsed in her home on Ben Zakkai Street after suffering cardiac arrest. Emergency responders performed extensive resuscitation efforts at the scene before transporting her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Born in Poland to her father, Reb Yaakov Reuven, she endured the horrors of the Holocaust before surviving the war. She went on to rebuild her life and establish a large family devoted to Torah and Chassidus.

She was married to Reb Naftali Flintenstein zt”l, one of the senior and distinguished chassidim of Kapytchnitz and the brother of the Kapytchnitzer Rebbe. Throughout her life, she was known as a deeply G-d fearing woman whose home was open to others and who dedicated herself to acts of chessed both with her time and her resources. She merited to see generations of descendants continue in the path of Torah and Chassidus.

She is survived by sons, daughters, sons-in-law, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The levayah was held this morning at her home at 47 Ben Zakkai Street in Bnei Brak before proceeding to the Shamgar Funeral Home in Yerushalayim, where her nephew, the Kapytchnitzer Rebbe, participated. She was then laid to rest on Har HaZeisim alongside her husband.

The family will be sitting shivah at her home in Bnei Brak.
