A student visiting the Mauthausen concentration camp memorial in Austria sparked outrage after he was seen wearing a shirt featuring a Palestinian flag, the slogan “Free Palestine,” and an image identified as terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, prompting a heated confrontation with a Jewish visitor and police intervention.

The incident took place during a visit to the former Nazi concentration camp, where the student was photographed wearing the controversial shirt. The image on the garment was identified as Dalal Mughrabi, the terrorist who led the 1978 Coastal Road massacre, also known as the “Bus of Blood” attack, in which 38 Israelis—including 13 children—were murdered.

A Jewish woman identified as Jordana noticed the shirt and began recording the encounter before confronting the student and his teachers.

During the exchange, Jordana rebuked the group, saying, “You come to a concentration camp and call the war a genocide? A real genocide happened here. You learned nothing. Shame on you!”

Several students and teachers responded by claiming that Israel is committing “genocide” in Gaza.

Jordana forcefully rejected the comparison, arguing that equating Israel’s war against Hamas with the Holocaust dishonors the memory of the more than 100,000 victims who perished at the Mauthausen concentration camp.

Following the confrontation, staff members at the memorial site called police to respond to the scene.
