Ben Shapiro Mocks Tucker Carlson And Hunter Biden As ‘Silver Spoon Rich Kids’ Over Maine Interview
NASHVILLE (VINnews)— Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro on Tuesday sharply criticized a recent podcast interview between Tucker Carlson and Hunter Biden, describing the pair as privileged elites posing as outsiders while advancing conspiracy theories involving Israel and praising controversial figures.
In a post on X accompanied by a segment from “The Ben Shapiro Show,” Shapiro wrote: “Hey, look, two silver spoon rich kids sitting in a prop cabin in Maine to talk about how the elite class is victimizing you…and also, why the Joos did Hunter Biden’s laptop and ackshually Candace Owens is just the best. Viva la revolucion!”
The remarks targeted an August 10 appearance by Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, on Carlson’s podcast. The interview was filmed at Carlson’s property in Maine and covered a range of topics including Biden’s recovery from addiction, artificial intelligence, insider trading in Washington, and the long-running controversy surrounding Biden’s laptop.
During the conversation, Carlson claimed that allegations of child sexual abuse material on the laptop originated with Israeli sources. He said a man connected to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had relayed the information to a producer on his former Fox News program, and that intelligence officials later wrongly attributed the claims to Russia.
Hunter Biden, for his part, called Netanyahu “evil incarnate” and rejected suggestions that such criticism constituted antisemitism. “If it’s antisemitic to point out that Bibi Netanyahu is evil incarnate, then I don’t know what to say to people anymore,” Biden said. He also expressed admiration for Candace Owens, a view Carlson shared.
Shapiro’s monologue framed the exchange as hypocritical, arguing that two individuals from wealthy backgrounds were lecturing audiences about elite victimization while promoting narratives that blamed Jews or Israel for the laptop story that damaged the Biden family politically in 2020.
The interview has drawn mixed reactions across the political spectrum. Some on the left welcomed Biden’s willingness to speak critically of Israel and defend Carlson against antisemitism accusations. Critics on the right, including Shapiro, viewed the discussion as an unseemly alliance that recycled fringe theories and downplayed documented evidence related to the laptop.
Neither Carlson nor Biden immediately responded publicly to Shapiro’s comments. The segment aired as part of Shapiro’s regular show for The Daily Wire.
