East Dover Fire Company #4, Station 28, has placed a new Assistant Chief’s vehicle into service.

The vehicle was transferred from an administrative role within the district and prepared to meet the company’s front-line operational needs, providing department leadership with a reliable vehicle for emergency response.

The new vehicle replaces a 2014 Chief’s vehicle that reached the end of its service with the department after faithfully serving five previous users.

By utilizing an existing vehicle rather than purchasing a brand-new one, the department was able to provide its leadership with the necessary tools for emergency response while saving taxpayer dollars.

The department also extended its appreciation to Elite Vehicle Solutions for their work in preparing the vehicle and bringing it into operational service.

East Dover Fire Company #4 also thanked the taxpayers of Toms River Fire District #1, whose continued support plays a critical role in ensuring firefighters have the tools, equipment, and apparatus needed to meet the demands of the fire service.
