What if the real question on Yom Kippur isn't only what you've done wrong, but what you've done with your life? Rabbi Shafier explains that each of us was given a unique set of strengths, weaknesses, circumstances, and challenges for one purpose: to become the person only we can become. Yom Kippur is our chance to step out of the busyness of life, take an honest look at where we're headed, and ask whether we're actually living up to our potential. Because ultimately, you're not measured against anyone else. You're measured against the person you could have been.
