Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann Announces 2026 Re-Election Bid
Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann (R,C-New City) has formally announced his 2026 re-election. Hoehmann has served as Supervisor since 2015 and previously was an elected member of the town board and appointed member of the planning board. Hoehmann, a Clarkstown native, is running to continue his proven bipartisanship track record of delivering on behalf of all residents of the Town of Clarkstown.
Hoehmann just led a historic re-election campaign this past November that saw the first 5-0 GOP majority town board elected since the 1950s. Changes in state law shortened all terms to one year, triggering a new election in 2026. The significant mandate voters issued George and his team just months ago continues to power positive momentum heading into this new election.
Supervisor George Hoehmann stated, “It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve as Clarkstown Supervisor. Since day one I have worked on behalf of all Clarkstown residents to deliver real results. My track record proves that I am a bipartisan problem solver who gets things done. It would be an honor to earn your vote once again to continue my bipartisan service on behalf of all residents."
Hoehmann continued, “My bipartisan track record continues to deliver results. Our historic code enforcement efforts have led to the largest collection of fines in history and we are just getting started. We are hiring three additional code enforcement officers, building the largest code enforcement department in the region. I have cut taxes twice, kept our finances in check, and delivered the highest bond rating in modern town history-saving taxpayers and providing essential services at a lower cost.
My administration has conserved nearly 40 acres of open space and we have launched the most aggressive land conservation effort in the Hudson Valley to do even more work, all while greatly expanding our recreational offerings at existing and newly developed parks and cultural sites. There has been tens of millions of dollars invested in our infrastructure, supported by record grant awards. Our police department is the best equipped and best trained local police department in the country with capabilities that keep every resident and visitor to our town safe.
Let’s keep making Clarkstown the best community to live, work, raise a family, and retire in. I would be honored to have your vote and will work hard through November to earn it. As always if there is anything I can ever help you with please do not hesitate to reach out.”
