A person was shot multiple times shortly after midnight on Sunday, with the incident reported at approximately 12:03 a.m. near the intersection of South Franklin Street and Depew Avenue in Nyack.

Orangetown Police, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, Nyack Ambulance, and Clarkstown Police responded to the scene and launched an active investigation. According to a witness, the suspect fled on foot and is described as an African American male, approximately 5-foot-9, wearing a baseball cap, a dark shirt, and dark shorts. No suspect is in custody at this time.
