Jul 15, 2026·1 min read

A heavy law enforcement presence in the area of Riverside Drive Wednesday morning was the result of a search warrant being executed by the Suffern Police Department as part of an ongoing investigation.

According to police, at approximately 6:00 a.m., members of the Suffern Police Department Detective Bureau executed a search warrant at a residence on Riverside Drive. The operation was assisted by the Rockland Rescue Entry and Counter Terrorism (REACT) Team, a multi-agency tactical unit made up of law enforcement agencies from throughout Rockland County.

To safely carry out the operation, officers used specialized devices that produced loud sounds and bright lights. Police emphasized that there was no danger to the public at any point during or after the operation.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said additional information will be released if and when it becomes available.

The Suffern Police Department also thanked the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance during the operation.
