U.S. ESCALATION: Washington Informs Israel It Will Use Heavy Bombers in Upcoming Iran Strikes
Israel has raised its level of readiness for the possibility of a direct confrontation with Iran, as the United States prepares to intensify its strikes in the coming days, Kan News reported Wednesday evening.
Israeli officials believe President Trump’s threat to strike Iranian national infrastructure in response to any Iranian retaliation has increased the likelihood that Iran could launch missiles at Israel, drawing Israel into the current escalation.
The United States has informed Israel that it plans to use heavy bombers in the coming days for the first time in the current round of fighting. During Operation Lion’s Roar, American strategic bombers flew from Britain to carry out strikes in Iran. One possible target is Mount Makhush, which President Trump has said will be attacked soon.
The security coordination between Washington and Jerusalem is also intended to allow Israel to prepare for the possibility that Iran launches missiles toward Israeli territory. Such an attack would lead Israel to resume its own strikes inside Iran.
Meanwhile, discussions are underway regarding a possible meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump next week, but no meeting has been scheduled and no preparations are currently being made for another trip to Washington.
