US WARNING: Americans in Israel Urged to Stay Alert Amid Organized Crime Violence
The U.S. Embassy in Israel has issued a rare security alert urging American citizens to remain vigilant following a recent wave of violence linked to organized crime groups operating in central Israel.
According to the embassy, recent attacks have targeted homes, businesses and vehicles connected to the ongoing feud, primarily in Tel Aviv, Jaffa and Herzliya. Several incidents involved suspects on motorcycles throwing hand grenades or stun grenades at private residences and commercial properties.
The alert comes amid an escalating conflict between the Musli and Jarushi crime organizations, which has led to multiple grenade attacks in recent days, including incidents targeting restaurant locations and homes in upscale neighborhoods.
The embassy advised Americans to remain alert, especially in commercial areas during the evening and nighttime hours, avoid locations with active police operations or roadblocks, report suspicious activity to authorities, review their personal security plans, stay in contact with family and friends, and keep travel documents readily accessible.
Israeli police say they have stepped up both overt and covert operations to prevent further violence, describing the conflict as an ongoing dispute between organized crime groups with significant operational capabilities rather than a series of isolated incidents.
