Weber Campaign Highlights Fundraising Success, Growing Electoral Strength
State Senator Bill Weber announced that his reelection campaign has raised $254,000 since his 2024 election victory, placing the Rockland County Republican in a strong financial position heading into the November election.
Weber is also expected to receive the full $375,000 available through New York’s public matching funds program, giving his campaign substantial resources as he seeks another term representing the 38th Senate District.
The campaign also pointed to Weber’s growing support across the district in recent elections. Weber won the seat in 2022 by approximately 3,200 votes before securing reelection in 2024 by a significantly larger margin of roughly 9,500 votes, highlighting increasing support among voters throughout the district.
Weber also highlighted the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee’s decision to leave Senate District 38 off its list of six priority New York Senate races this year. The national Democratic organization instead identified Districts 7, 39, 40, 44, 50 and 52 as its leading targets, indicating that Democrats view Weber as being in a strong position to retain the seat.
Weber’s reelection campaign has drawn strong support from Republican leaders across the state. Earlier this year, Senator George Borrello, chairman of the Senate Republican Campaign Committee, visited Rockland County to underscore the party’s support for Senator Weber, while Congressman Mike Lawler has also publicly endorsed Weber for reelection.
“I am incredibly proud of my fundraising efforts and grateful to all of my generous supporters across the district and the state,” Weber said. “People recognize that my record in Albany is one of bipartisanship, effectiveness, and independence, and it’s energizing to see people across the political spectrum rally around me heading into the final stretch of this campaign.”
Weber said he will continue meeting with residents, listening to voters, and focusing on the issues that matter most to communities throughout the 38th Senate District as his campaign continues to build momentum ahead of Election Day.
