Democratic State Senate candidate and Nyack Mayor Joe Rand reported strong local fundraising and growing grassroots support in his campaign’s July finance filing, as his campaign continues building momentum across New York’s 38th Senate District.
The filing shows that Rand raised $35,434 from local supporters living within the district. The campaign also reported strong participation from individual donors, increased public matching funds, and more cash on hand heading into the general election.
The fundraising report follows a major petition drive in which Rand’s campaign submitted 6,414 signatures. The effort was powered by volunteers who spent weeks meeting voters at community events, commuter stations, neighborhood gatherings, and through door-to-door outreach.
Campaign officials said the fundraising and petition numbers reflect growing support from residents across Rockland County who are contributing, volunteering, and helping expand the campaign’s reach.
Rand is also entering the general election after securing the Working Families Party nomination, adding another ballot line and broadening his coalition.
“This campaign has always been about the people of Rockland County,” Rand said. “The support we’re seeing, from the signatures collected, to the volunteers knocking on doors, to neighbors contributing to our campaign, shows that people are ready for leadership that listens, delivers results, and puts our communities first.”
Rand thanked those who have joined the campaign and said he will continue working hard to earn the support of every voter throughout the 38th Senate District, as the campaign continues to build momentum ahead of Election Day
