Three terrorists were eliminated in two separate stabbing attacks in the Shomron on Thursday, leaving an IDF soldier lightly wounded and an Israeli civilian seriously injured.

The first attack took place near Alon Moreh, where a 51-year-old volunteer was helping extinguish a wildfire that, according to the IDF, had been deliberately set by Palestinians from the nearby village of Beit Furik.

As residents and volunteers battled the blaze near Derech Avraham Farm, two Palestinian terrorists suddenly charged the volunteer and stabbed him in the chest. Security personnel at the scene immediately opened fire, killing both terrorists. It remains under investigation whether the fatal shots were fired by the community security coordinator or IDF soldiers.

MDA and IDF medics provided lifesaving treatment before evacuating the victim to the hospital in serious condition. Following the attack, the IDF imposed a closure on Beit Furik and launched additional security operations in the area.

Several hours later, a second stabbing attack occurred at a newly established IDF outpost near Ganim in northern Shomron.

According to the IDF’s initial investigation, a terrorist arrived by vehicle while troops were securing a logistical operation at the outpost. He managed to stab an IDF soldier before two paratroopers from the 890th Battalion responded within seconds, opening fire and killing the attacker.

The wounded soldier sustained light injuries and was evacuated to HaEmek Medical Center in Afula for treatment.

The outpost where the attack occurred was recently established in the Ganim area, where a future Israeli community is expected to be built. IDF forces continue to operate there as part of ongoing security activities.

Both attacks remain under investigation.
