LIKUD MK: “We All Know We’re Heading Toward A Strike On Iran, Maybe This Weekend”
Likud MK Moshe Saada sparked headlines Thursday after suggesting that Israel could be on the verge of launching a military strike against Iran, possibly as soon as this weekend.
Speaking during an interview on Channel 14’s “Open Studio” program, Saada said, “We all know we’re heading toward an attack on Iran, maybe even this weekend.”
He quickly clarified that he was expressing his own assessment rather than revealing classified or official information.
“These are assessments,” Saada emphasized, adding that President Donald Trump has remained firm on the Iranian nuclear issue.
Saada also praised the close relationship between Washington and Jerusalem, saying Trump continues to demonstrate that there is “a values-based alliance” between the United States and Israel.
His comments come as tensions continue to escalate across the region. President Donald Trump said Thursday that he is close to making a decision on Iran and is considering a military operation larger than previous U.S. strikes.
At the same time, Israeli security officials are reportedly preparing for multiple scenarios amid intelligence assessments that Iran could launch a direct attack on Israel in the coming days. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is expected to convene the security cabinet on Friday to review the latest intelligence and Israel’s operational readiness.
Neither Israel nor the United States has officially announced a decision to launch a military operation against Iran.
