Iran has erected a massive billboard in Tehran celebrating Khalil al-Hayya as the new leader of Hamas, underscoring the regime’s continued public support for the terrorist organization.

The billboard, displayed in Tehran’s Palestine Square, features al-Hayya alongside eliminated Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh, with Har Habayis and Yerushalayim in the background.

The display includes a Hebrew message reading, “Sinwar’s edition, the new leader in the field,” while an Arabic slogan describes al-Hayya as “the occupiers’ nightmare.”

The billboard was unveiled shortly after Hamas announced al-Hayya’s appointment as the group’s new leader following the elimination of Sinwar, the architect of the October 7 massacre, by IDF forces in southern Gaza in October 2024.

The public display highlights Tehran’s continued backing of Hamas and its effort to project continuity in the terror group’s leadership despite Israel’s elimination of several of its senior commanders.
