The report, citing an American diplomatic source familiar with the security discussions, said Israel has informed the United States and several allied nations that it is preparing for a conflict significantly larger than the previous round of fighting.

According to the source, ongoing discussions have focused on the duration of the campaign, the extent of Israel’s participation, and which targets each military would be responsible for striking.

Under the reported plan, Israel would focus on attacking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facilities and assets belonging to Iran’s Air and Space Force deep inside the country. U.S. forces, meanwhile, would reportedly concentrate on heavily fortified targets requiring larger munitions, longer-range strike capabilities, and sustained intelligence support.

The report also claims Israel has sought assurances that American defensive and intelligence assistance would continue throughout any extended campaign. Officials are also said to be coordinating operational plans to avoid overlap and allow Israel to launch additional waves of strikes if Iran retaliates against Israeli cities or military installations.
