Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu persuaded the late Sen. Lindsey Graham not to travel to Florida earlier this year to urge President Donald Trump to join Israel in launching military strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to previously unreleased footage cited by The Wall Street Journal.

The report says Graham had planned to lobby Trump for U.S. involvement, but before the trip, Netanyahu warned him such a move would be too aggressive while Israel was focused on confronting Iran. “We’re focused on Iran right now,” Netanyahu told Graham in a March 4 phone call. “If we actually go all the way against Hezbollah now, they’ll have no reason not to go all the way against us.” Graham replied, “That’s very good advice.”

The exchange appears in a forthcoming documentary filmed by director Abel Holder, who was granted extensive behind-the-scenes access to Graham during the final years of his life. The footage reportedly captures the senator’s efforts to rally support for military action against Iran, including conversations with President Trump, military officials, and world leaders.

According to the report, Graham often pushed for even more aggressive action than Israeli officials. After U.S. strikes on Iran earlier this year, he was filmed celebrating the operation and saying Trump told him it was “the best thing” he had done.

The documentary also reportedly includes discussions with then-National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, meetings with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, conversations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and Graham’s views on senior U.S. officials. Graham also predicted Iran’s regime would collapse within weeks of the U.S. campaign — a forecast that ultimately proved incorrect.

Holder is now editing hundreds of hours of footage for a documentary tentatively titled Lindsey’s Game, which is expected to be released in the coming months.
