BDE: Mrs. Malka (Noemi) Nagel, Beloved Baalas Chesed and Founder of Monsey Housewares
The Monsey community is mourning the passing of Mrs. Malka (Noemi) Nagel a"h, the longtime owner of Monsey Housewares, who passed away at the age of 86.
Mrs. Nagel's life was marked by remarkable resilience. Born in France in the early years of World War II, she lost both of her parents when she was just one year old during the Holocaust. Hidden as an infant during the war, she survived and was later raised by her aunt in England.
Together with her late husband, R' Pesach Nagel z"l, she built a life dedicated to family, community, and helping others.
Known throughout Monsey as a true baalas chesed, Mrs. Nagel quietly gave generously to those in need. Countless individuals and families benefited from her kindness, as she was known for providing household items and other necessities to those who could not afford them, often without seeking any recognition.
Through Monsey Housewares, she became a familiar and beloved figure to generations of local residents, earning admiration not only as a business owner but for her compassion and generosity.
The levayah will take place today at 6:00 p.m. from Bais Medrash Mikdash Dovid, located at 2 Hilltop Lane.
