The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem has extended travel restrictions for all U.S. government employees and their family members entering Judea and Samaria, citing the deteriorating security situation following a recent surge in violence.

The advisory, which remains in effect through Wednesday, July 29, unless updated, limits personal travel to the region as tensions continue to rise. Embassy officials said the restrictions are a precautionary measure in response to the evolving security environment.

The move comes as Israeli security forces warn of an increase in attempted terror attacks originating from areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority, alongside ongoing military operations across Judea and Samaria.

Security concerns intensified after deadly clashes on July 24 near the village of Tal, west of Nablus, where confrontations involving Israeli residents and Palestinian Arabs left two Israelis and four Palestinians dead. The violence prompted the IDF to deploy additional troops, establish checkpoints, and expand operations throughout the area.

The U.S. Embassy regularly updates its travel guidance based on security assessments, and officials said the current restrictions could be extended or lifted depending on developments in the region.

Due to heightened security concerns and increased volatility in the West Bank, the U.S. Embassy is temporarily restricting personal travel by all U.S. Government personnel and family members into the West Bank.
