Four days after the deadly terrorist attack near Havat Gilad, in which Maj. Yuval Ezra and Master Sgt. (Res.) Benyahu Mellet, H’yd were killed, the IDF announced that on Tuesday, Palestinian workers will once again be allowed to enter yishuvim in Yehuda and Shomron, in accordance with the security procedures governing workers in industrial zones and communities.

The decision was made following a security assessment, just one day after Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth ordered a ban on Palestinian workers.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir responded by stating: “The Central Command’s retreat in allowing Palestinian workers to return to work in the yishuvim of Yehuda and Shomron is a serious mistake that could cost us precious Jewish lives. I call on the prime minister to instruct the chief of staff to immediately reverse Maj. Gen. Bluth’s decision, which sends a message of surrender to terrorism.”
