SECURITY CRACKDOWN: Israel Demolishes Large Illegal Structures In Northern Samaria Following Terror Attacks
Israeli authorities demolished several large illegal Palestinian structures in northern Samaria on Tuesday as part of a broader enforcement operation launched following recent terrorist attacks.
The operation, carried out by the Civil Administration’s Inspection Unit under the direction of Finance Minister and Minister in the Defense Ministry Bezalel Smotrich, targeted strategic buildings near Route 60 and Junction 9.
Among the structures demolished was a four-story, 800-square-meter building used for both industrial and residential purposes, described by officials as one of the largest and most prominent structures in the area. Authorities also razed a separate 450-square-meter commercial and industrial building, along with additional illegal construction near the newly approved community of Emek Dotan.
Smotrich said the demolitions are part of Israel’s ongoing policy to strengthen Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria while cracking down on illegal Palestinian construction.
“The decision to demolish these strategic structures was deliberate,” Smotrich said. “We are exacting a price on the ground and preventing the establishment of a Palestinian terror state in the heart of our country.”
He thanked Civil Administration personnel, security forces from the Menashe Regional Brigade, and Border Police officers who participated in the operation.
