Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump discussed three possible courses of action regarding Iran during their meeting Tuesday, a senior Israeli diplomatic source told Kan News

The options included reaching an agreement with Tehran, maintaining the current situation without a deal, or returning to intensive fighting. The source said no decisions were made and that Netanyahu did not tell Trump which option he preferred, instead explaining how each path could advance Israel’s objectives.

According to the source, the Israeli goals presented during the meeting were an immediate halt to Iran’s nuclear program, continued action against its ballistic-missile capabilities, and preventing activity by its regional proxies.

The source said Iran currently appears reluctant to attack Israel directly because of the expected price, while also facing growing economic pressure. “Inflation there could easily jump to 200%,” the source said. He added that while nobody has seen Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei since his inauguration, Israeli officials know with certainty that he is alive.

Netanyahu also presented Trump with a plan to gradually reduce U.S. military aid to Israel to zero dollars within a decade. Under the proposal, missile-defense assistance would remain in place, while the two countries would develop joint programs instead of relying on direct American financial aid.

During the meeting, Netanyahu showed Trump a map of Syria to illustrate that Israel controls approximately 0.1% of Syrian territory, compared with around 5% controlled by Turkey. The source said Trump did not ask Israel to withdraw from Syrian territory.

Describing the tone of the meeting, the source said: “We are like a couple that has been married for many years. We do not waste time and go straight to the point.”
