TERROR THREAT: Arab Israeli Teen Indicted For Allegedly Threatening To Bomb IDF Soldiers
A 15-year-old Arab Israeli has been indicted after allegedly threatening to carry out a bombing against IDF soldiers in messages posted to a WhatsApp group, Israeli prosecutors announced Thursday.
According to the indictment filed by the Central District Attorney’s Office, the teen uploaded a video earlier this month showing an IDF military vehicle near a barn, writing, “Here comes the army, may Allah shame them.”
Prosecutors allege that he then sent a series of voice messages describing plans to plant explosives beneath the soldiers’ seats.
“I want to plant an explosive for them. I know where they’re sitting,” the teen allegedly said. “I’ll put explosives under each one of them.”
Even after another participant warned him that his comments could be reported to police, prosecutors say the teen continued making threats, allegedly stating, “I’ll blow them up with explosives… wait a little, they’ll get gifts from Allah.”
One member of the WhatsApp group subsequently reported the messages to police, triggering an investigation that led to the teen’s arrest.
The indictment charges the suspect with making terrorist threats. The case is being prosecuted by the Central District Attorney’s Office.
