ELIMINATED: IDF Kills Terrorist Involved In Kidnapping Of Noa Argamani And Avinatan Or
The IDF announced Friday that it eliminated a senior terrorist involved in the October 7, 2023 massacre who participated in the kidnapping of Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or and directed the abduction of Thai national Sodsaik Rintalak.
According to the IDF, Ahmed Hussein Mohammed Kafina, commander of the Central Camps sector in the Mujahideen Brigades terrorist organization, was killed in a precision airstrike in southern Gaza earlier this week.
The military said Kafina helped lead the terrorist organization’s October 7 infiltration into Israel, personally took part in the abduction of Argamani and Or, and directed the kidnapping of Rintalak. Throughout the war, including in recent weeks, he continued advancing terrorist attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The IDF said Kafina posed an immediate threat to Israeli forces and was targeted in a precise strike.
Rintalak, a Thai agricultural worker who had been employed in communities near the Gaza border since 2017, was murdered on October 7 while visiting a friend near Kibbutz Be’eri. His body was abducted to Gaza and held by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Israeli authorities officially confirmed his death in May 2024 based on intelligence information.
Avinatan Or was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from the Nova music festival during the October 7 massacre and was released on October 13, 2025, as part of the third hostage deal.
Noa Argamani was also kidnapped from the Nova music festival and became one of the most recognizable symbols of the October 7 attacks after footage of her abduction circulated around the world. She was rescued by Israeli forces eight months later during Operation Arnon.
