A significant development has reportedly emerged in Gaza, with Saudi-owned Al Arabiya reporting that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad has agreed to disarm as part of ongoing negotiations over the future of the Gaza Strip.

The reported agreement comes amid talks between Israel and Hamas on advancing to the next phase of President Trump’s proposed framework for ending the war. According to the report, the move is part of broader efforts to establish new political and security arrangements in Gaza.

Separately, Palestinian sources told i24NEWS that Hamas’ leadership abroad has issued an internal directive ordering the group’s leadership in Gaza to prepare for the transfer of government assets to a technocratic committee expected to enter the Strip in the coming days, in line with a roadmap recently finalized in Cairo.

The developments follow a report by Israel’s Kan 11 that implementation of a 15-point framework aimed at ending the war could begin within days. Under the reported plan, Hamas would halt all military activity during the first two weeks, followed by a phased disarmament process. In parallel, Israel would cease military operations under the terms of the agreement reached last October.

According to the reports, Hamas has conveyed its acceptance of the framework to the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.
