In a video conference with other members of the Democratic Socialists of America, Mirah Wood said that Hamas terrorists act out of “deep love and tenderness.”

Wood, the co-chair of the Middle East and Africa subcommittee, praised the stirring heroism and bravery of the “resistance fighters” who shot a bullet right “into the heart of empire itself,” as her fellow DSA members nodded vigorously.

“You know, I can think of no images, like, more stirring and heroic than the resistance fighters. You know, and in their little slippers going up to tanks with just utter bravery, right, to fight,” she said.

A lot of people don’t find the image of burning babies in ovens and raping women while cutting off their body parts stirring and heroic, but hey, different strokes for different folks, right?

“And what a fundamental threat Oct. 7 and Al Aqsa Flood was to that entire system, right? It was a shot really into the heart of empire itself, and a shot for the dignity of man in resisting,” she said proudly.

“And you could see the resistance fighters. You know, when they’re not out there fighting against Israeli tanks, then they’re handing out flowers to children,” she added. “Like their fight comes from that deep love and tenderness that Lara was talking about.”

Well.

Arab Israeli activist Yoseph Haddad had words to say about that.

“I honestly thought this was a parody when I first heard it … then I realized this is an actual political activist in the DSA in America,” he fumed in a post on X.

“‘Hamas fighters, when they are not fighting against Israeli tanks, they are handing out flowers to children. Their fight comes from deep love and tenderness,'” he quoted from the video.

“Are you f***ing kidding me? Was it ‘love and tenderness’ when these monsters were raping women on October 7th at the Nova festival?” he railed. “Or when they were kidnapping and torturing grandmothers? Or when they threw grenades into bomb shelters packed with terrified civilians? Is that the ‘tenderness’ you were talking about?”

“These people are completely brainwashed delusional idiots,” he seethed. “What an embarrassment for anyone who associates with them, and I say this as an Arab myself from the Middle East!”
