LAND ENFORCEMENT: Israel Demolishes Illegal Buildings in Kafr Qasim and Bi’ina
The Israel Land Authority, with security provided by Israel Police, demolished several illegal structures built on state-owned land during enforcement operations carried out this week in central and northern Israel.
In Kafr Qasim, authorities demolished an illegally constructed four-story building after a final court ruling. The operation was carried out under heavy police security following extensive preparations.
A day earlier, enforcement teams demolished an illegally built home in the Galilee village of Bi’ina after the occupants failed to comply with a court order requiring them to remove the structure themselves.
The Israel Land Authority said the demolitions are part of an ongoing effort to remove illegal construction, free state land for planned development, and enable the legal marketing of residential plots. Officials added that the government intends to seek reimbursement from those responsible for the full cost of the demolitions and evacuations while continuing to enforce additional court orders against illegal structures.
