President Donald Trump stopped a child from wandering off the stage during a Las Vegas event Wednesday to promote his economic agenda.

Sandra and Brad, a local couple who are, respectively, a waitress and a cop, were invited onstage at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa to address the audience. As a waitress, Sandra stands to benefit from Trump’s no-tax-on-tips policy. The couple appeared on stage with two children, one in Brad’s arms and the other a toddler with a pacifier who wandered around the stage.

As the child started to wander off, Trump moved quickly to intercept him, quipping, “I don’t want him to be Biden and fall off the stage,” a joke that prompted laughter from the audience. Sandra thanked him for the intervention before continuing with her remarks.

The joke referred to a famous moment when then-President Joe Biden tripped while handing out diplomas at a graduation ceremony in 2023 to students at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

At the end of Sandra’s speech, the toddler, with much prompting, thanked the president for his Trump Account, to which Trump responded with “Good job!”

Trump Accounts are savings accounts jumpstarted by the government. Children under the age of 18 are eligible for a Trump Account, which starts out with $1,000 deposited by the government. The money is invested so it increases over time. The children’s parents can add up to $5,000 a year to the account. When the children reach adulthood, they can use the money for college, to learn a trade, to buy a house or to start a business.

The program was signed into law in July 2025 and went into effect last month.
