CHEMED marked National Health Center Week with a special celebration attended by government officials, patients, staff, community partners, and supporters, recognizing the vital role community health centers play in delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare.

The event highlighted CHEMED’s commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care while emphasizing the important role community health centers play in improving health outcomes and strengthening the communities they serve.

The celebration featured remarks and recognition from state and local officials, including New Jersey State Senator Robert Singer, along with representatives from the New Jersey Department of Health. Nashon Hornsby, Assistant Commissioner of the Division of Health Promotion, presented a proclamation on behalf of Governor Mikie Sherrill recognizing National Health Center Week. Other Department of Health officials in attendance included Deputy Commissioners Raquel Mazon Jeffers and Susan Loughery, as well as Kim Laloma of the Office of Primary Care and Rural Health.

Ocean County officials also participated in the event, including Commissioner Director Frank Sadeghi, Commissioner Deputy Director Jennifer Bacchione, Commissioner Sam Ellenbogen, and County Administrator Michael Fiure.

CHEMED expressed its appreciation to the elected officials, community leaders, healthcare partners, vendors, patients, and staff who participated in the celebration, noting that their continued support helps advance the organization’s mission of ensuring quality healthcare remains accessible to all members of the community.

National Health Center Week is observed annually to recognize the contributions of community health centers across the country and the millions of patients they serve each year.
