In a blatant violation of the ceasefire, Hezbollah launched an explosive drone on Friday toward IDF forces in southern Lebanon.

No injuries or damage were reported.

The IDF chose not to disclose the incident to the public but confirmed the details when questioned by Ynet. According to Kan News, the decision not to publicize the attack was made by Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo.

According to the report, the IDF believes that the drone attack was part of a Hezbollah effort to help terrorists escape from an underground tunnel network in the Ali Taher Ridge area.

The IDF spokesperson later issued a statement saying: “The IDF releases information to the public based strictly on relevant operational considerations and situational assessments. The IDF spokesperson will not publish any information that, according to operational assessments, could endanger our forces operating in combat zones.”
