A Chareidi child who disappeared in the Jordan River near Yesod HaMa’ala after a boat overturned was found without signs of life following hours of extensive search efforts.

The incident began after Israel Fire and Rescue Services received a report through its 102 emergency hotline that the child had fallen into the water when the boat overturned while he was on the river, and contact with him was subsequently lost.

Large forces were dispatched to the area, including firefighters and members of the Northern District Special Rescue Unit. Israel Police and additional rescue organizations also joined the operation, carrying out extensive searches in the water and along the river.

After hours of searching, the child was located in the water without signs of life. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
