Rockland Green is building a new immersive theater and interactive education center at its Nanuet headquarters, creating a hands-on space that will give visitors a closer look at how recycling works across Rockland County.

The project is taking shape inside Rockland Green’s headquarters at 172 Main Street in Nanuet and is designed as an educational experience with several exhibits. The space will focus on recycling, waste reduction and what happens to materials after they are collected.

Photos from inside the building show several parts of the new center already coming together, including sorting stations, interactive displays, an arcade-style area and exhibits designed to resemble parts of a working recycling facility.

The project is part of a broader renovation of the headquarters and includes the new immersive theater and exhibit space, along with other improvements to the building. Rockland Green has said the goal is to create a more engaging way for residents and visiting groups to learn about recycling and environmental responsibility.

Once completed, the new center will turn the Nanuet facility into more than just an administrative headquarters, giving families, students and other visitors a place to experience the recycling process in a much more visual and interactive way.
