The next round of talks between Israel and Lebanon is being delayed amid growing tensions between the two countries, Kan News reported Monday evening.

Lebanon is refusing to hold another round of talks in the near future in protest over the failure to expand the withdrawal zones. Israel, meanwhile, has complained to the United States about the activity of the Lebanese army, alleging that it is operating in coordination with Hezbollah.

On Friday, Hezbollah launched an explosive drone toward IDF forces in the Ali Taher Ridge area, north of Beaufort. No injuries or damage were reported. Despite the incident constituting a violation of the ceasefire, the IDF Spokesperson chose not to inform the public about it.

According to IDF assessments, the drone launch was part of an effort by Hezbollah to help terrorists escape from the area. Hezbollah operatives are attempting to extract terrorists who are staying in an underground route in the Ali Taher Ridge area.

The latest round of talks between Israel and Lebanon began earlier that same week. Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji was completely excluded from the talks because of his hardline positions against Hezbollah.
