Congressman Mike Lawler’s Office Invites Nominations for 2026 Jewish Changemaker Award Honoring Difference-Makers Across NY-17
YSR.
Congressman Mike Lawler’s office is inviting residents to nominate outstanding individuals for the 2026 Jewish Changemaker Award, recognizing those who have made a meaningful difference in Jewish communities throughout the 17th Congressional District.
The award is intended to recognize members of the Jewish community whose work and dedication have had a positive impact on residents across the district, highlighting local leaders and difference-makers whose efforts continue to make a positive impact across the district.
Nominations can include individuals who strengthen Jewish life, serve their communities, lead businesses or nonprofit organizations, mentor others, volunteer, or make an impact through public service.
The recognition is open to many different types of community difference-makers, from those serving in visible leadership positions to individuals working quietly behind the scenes to help their neighbors and communities.
To qualify, nominees should live within New York’s 17th Congressional District and should be individuals who have made a positive impact on residents of the district and served as true “changemakers” for others.
The initiative gives residents an opportunity to recognize and honor those leaders, volunteers, businesspeople, public servants and others whose dedication and efforts continue to make a difference in people’s lives.
Nominations are currently open and must be submitted by Friday, August 21, 2026.
