Two people were killed in a horrific head-on collision between two vehicles on Route 383, south of Zecharia, at approximately 2:03 a.m.

One of the victims was identified as Rav Meir Turgeman Z”L, 42, of Beit Shemesh, a father of nine who had celebrated his son’s Bar Mitzvah just days ago.

The second victim was Noam Dadon, 27, of Sdot Micha, who was scheduled to be married in approximately two months.

Large numbers of MDA, United Hatzalah and ZAKA personnel responded to the devastating scene, where they found two badly mangled vehicles. One of the victims was trapped inside a vehicle, while the other was found on the side of the road. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman in her 40s was treated at the scene and transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in moderate condition.

MDA responders described the crash as extremely severe, saying that after examining the two victims, “there was nothing left for us to do but pronounce them dead.”
