Kerestir, Hungary – Near the Kever of Reb Shayele of Kerestir, was the scene of a rare double simcha today, Wednesday, as a wedding and a Pidyon Haben took place there one after the next – for the same person.
The Pidyon Haben that took place is being described to Belaaz by a local as the first held in Kerestir since 1957, adding a layer of historical significance to the simcha — a claim Belaaz has not independently verified.
The wedding followed with a full seuda accompanied by live music on site at the Friedlander Achsanya, also known as ‘Reb Shayele’s Gast Hoiz’
A Belaaz correspondent was on the ground for the simcha watching the once in a life time event.
