BNEI BRAK, ISRAEL (August 13, 2026)

Nearly a year after an Iranian missile strike severely damaged a residential building in Bnei Brak, the site is now becoming a symbol of something far greater than destruction: rebuilding.

Demolition has begun on the four-story building on HaMakabim Street, which was struck during Operation “Am Kelavi” on June 16, 2025. The building, which contained 24 apartments, was left uninhabitable following the attack.

But rather than allowing the destruction to define the site, the community is moving forward.

Within less than a year, developer Urbanitop obtained the necessary building permit and advanced plans for a major redevelopment project under TAMA 38/2. The new project will replace the damaged structure with three residential buildings containing 84 new apartments designated for the Chareidi community, along with approximately 422 square meters of commercial space.

The project represents an investment of approximately 247 million NIS, with financing and guarantees being provided by Bareket real estate finance in partnership with Shlomo Insurance.

There is something deeply symbolic about what is happening here.

An enemy missile came to destroy. The response is to build.

This is the story of Klal Yisroel throughout the generations. We have faced destruction, exile and unimaginable tragedy, yet we continue to rebuild our homes, our communities and our future.

Today, a damaged building is being torn down. Tomorrow, new homes will rise in its place.

Because Klal Yisroel lives on.

And no matter how hard our enemies try to destroy us, we will continue to rebuild, grow and raise the next generation of Am Yisroel.
