Southern Front Heats Up: Hamas Plants Bomb Under IDF Tank; IDF Launches Wave Of Strikes In Gaza

The IDF spokesperson announced on Motzei Shabbos that a tank hit an explosive device during operational activity near the Yellow Line in the southern Gaza Strip on Shabbos morning.

Baruch Hashem, no IDF soldiers were wounded in the incident. Following the incident, the IDF launched a wave of strikes in the Gaza Strip.

In a separate incident, troops from the Paratroopers Brigade combat team identified two terrorists who crossed the Yellow Line in an attempt to sabotage IDF weapons.

According to the IDF spokesperson, the two approached the troops in a manner that posed a threat. After identifying them, the soldiers opened fire and eliminated them.

The IDF stated: “These incidents constitute violations of the ceasefire agreement, and the IDF views them with the utmost severity. IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.”
